3ddesk

Here is a cool program. 3ddesk is a 3D desktop switching tool.

Most window managers support multiple virtual desktops. Normally you
switch the virtual desktop using the pager.

3ddesk gives you a 3D pager. It zooms out into 3D and shows all your
virtual desktops. You then use the arrow keys to chose the one you want
and then press Enter to zoom into the one that you want to use.

Nice eye-candy!
